SAKTHI

My name is Sakthivel s/o Raman. I am 18 this year, from Raffles Institution and part of the school's Floorball team as well as it's Indian Cultural Society. An initial typical childish crave moulded into strong passion in my early years, acting has more or less always been playing a chief role in my life- escorting me to and through quite a number of short films and stage dramas. As such, given yet another opportunity to further explore my 'actor-alter ego' by Luxna in 'The Dark Voices', it was nothing less than an oblation.

Even with colossal number of anti-bullying campaigns run by behemoths such as WWE (Be A Star) to the 'smaller fry' such as the United Federation of Teachers, one would expect the very notion of bullying to have been expunged. On the very contrary, it has only become quotidian; further deepened its roots into our society. The fight against bullies need not be and should not be the responsibility of the top dogs alone. Given it's infectious nature borne out of jealousy, greed and lust, bullying affects everyone in the social system adversely, regardless of their positions in the social class hierarchy. Therefore, the war waged on bullying should be every single person's responsibility as well. Ultimately, I hope society would finally be able to extirpate bullying.

The stance adopted by 'The Dark Voices' towards bullying is highly respectable and I feel privileged to be a part of it.
